Construction of Wrigley Field, c.1914, Chicago.
Originally called Weeghman Park, it was built for the Federal League Chicago Whales. Two years later in 1916, it became the official park for the Chicago Cubs and in 1920 was renamed Wrigley Field after the team’s gum magnate owner.
